Proof Coil Chain is manufactured from low grade carbon steel.

Chain is proof tested to at least twice the maximum load recommended for normal use.

These Grade 30 mooring chains are made from Low Carbon Steel type Q195 or Q235..

with a carbon contect of between 0.05-20C

(On the very odd occasion when Q195 or Q235 i s not available the alternative used is the dearer 20Mn2 steel)
